Congratulations to East Brunswick High School Humanities teacher Adam Recktenwald on receiving the 2013 award as Teacher of the Year from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities! Adam went through a rigorous application process that included student, colleague, and administrative letters of recommendation, a teaching philosophy statement, and sample plans. In the end, there was no doubt that Adam is an exemplary teacher and instructional role model in and out of the classroom!
All eight of East Brunswick's Elementary Schools participated recently in a fund raising effort to benefit the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life. Students in grades K-5 created "Luminaria Bags" in their art classes and donations were received in sponsorship. A total of $5,308 was raised to benefit cancer research and education! |
